Pizzeria La Palma in Winningen

The food here tastes better than anywhere else in the area. The friendly staff are just the icing on the cake. The pasta dishes in particular are great and we regularly come to eat or to collect them. Definitive recommendation!

Small but nice! Great taste, great value for money and everything very familiar. The staff are also very warm, all in all can only be recommended! We look forward to being there again the next time.

Today, May 31, 2020. The very last. 1 star is already too much! For a long time, customers did not notice the waitress: 15 minutes. After ordering delivery of the drinks, then 1:15 hours are waiting for food and demand for this. Out-of-home delivery seemed to be working as entry into the restaurant and later pick-up was observed. Explanation of the waitress: there is no out-of-home sale ... after confronting our observation the comment: oh yes the !!!! After other customers were ignored and left, we followed further unreasonable waiting time for pizza and spaghetti after payment of our drinks IN THE LOCAL and the cancellation of the meals. Previously we were asked by other guests of the outside catering, when the waitress was found, to send them to them. The Corona sleep mode continues to bloom here, revenue does not seem to be needed here. We are very disappointed and can only say: La Palma in Winningen never again. Questions from the management are very welcome, our addresses and telephone numbers are stored.

Everything was great, if not at the next table guests had sat, who had been complaining from the beginning. Ch. Klein according to his rating. It is an impertinence for other guests to behave this way. This restaurant can be recommended to everyone, old or young.

Food is ok. Pasta very tasty. Pizza works that way. Nothing special. Outside there is space under sunshades in a traffic-calmed street. The bread came in stages. First, very dry, which apparently already something lay. We could observe that these were not eaten by the next table, then briefly in the oven to warm up and were served us as a "new" oven fresh. Does not work. Then others came fresh a few minutes later. There was no butter to the rolls. We asked for these and were allowed to pay extra. Very unusual. The pizzas are normal and large to choose from. I ordered a big one, which goes elsewhere as a small one. Has filled a normal pizza plate to almost 70 percent (see picture) probably a 20cm pizza. I can not imagine what the normal pizza looks like. Dealing with the guests, however, depends on the operation very fluctuating. From very good to very unfriendly. Questions about the menu were very rude to us not to say bland answered. I am not used to dealing with guests like that. And by the way, locals do not like seeing recessions. Comments like "I'm stuck with food in my throat", or "You have to be able to write reviews about guests" are just some examples. As a critical guest you do not seem to be welcome here. Too bad.

"Pizzeria" does not do justice to the good food here. Rustic restaurant, with friendly staff. Very good price performance ratio.

Super delicious pasta dishes and pizzas. The boss welcomes every guest with the same friendliness, no matter if you are regular or for the first time there. For me, the best Italian dishes from Koblenz.

Good things: Portions are fairly big. Prices are reasonable Food quality/taste is average Good location and outdoor serving Bad things: The service is bad. We waited for more than 45 min. for our starter and the place wasn’t full at all. Furthermore, guests arriving at the same time or after us got their food before we did. When we asked politely (even in German) if they had forgotten our order, the waitress acted offended and even arrogant. With an irritated attitude she told us that the food was being prepared. Not a single polite comment throughout the whole meal to make up for it or excuse the waiting time. We even saw the waitress speaking badly about us to a colleague and pointing fingers. Even the guests next to us which were local people told us that this was really bad service and offered some bread while we were waiting. It’s a shame that bad service can ruin the experience of a decent meal. Would’t go there again for sure?
